라이즈 '오디세이' 프리미어, 가장 찬란한 청춘 서사 [종합]

 (엑스포츠뉴스 김예나 기자) 그룹 라이즈(RIIZE)가 데뷔 첫 정규 앨범 '오디세이(ODYSSEY)'를 통해 청춘의 얼굴을 가장 다채롭게, 가장 생생하게 기록했다. 
 14일 오후 라이즈(쇼타로·은석·성찬·원빈·소희·앤톤) 정규 1집 '오디세이' 프리미어를 개최, 최초·최고·최대 스케일을 자랑하며 컴백 기대감을 최고조로 끌어올렸다. 
 음악, 영상, 퍼포먼스가 하나로 어우러진 이번 블록버스터급 필름은 라이즈라는 청춘들이 겪는 설렘, 열정, 고민, 연대의 모든 감정을 담아내며 팬들의 뜨거운 호응을 이끌어냈다.

 이번 '오디세이' 프리미어는 단순히 뮤직비디오, 비주얼라이저 등의 영상 콘텐츠를 다룬 것뿐 아니라 이들의 여정을 '리얼타임' 형식으로 담아내 감동을 극대화시켰다. 
 앨범에 수록된 10개의 트랙은 순서대로 모두 영상화됐고, 음악으로 꽉 채워진 라이즈의 삶을 나타냈다. 초반부에는 '백 배드 백(Bag Bad Back)', '잉걸(Ember to Solar)' 등 열정과 패기 가득한 트랙이 배치돼 에너제틱한 청춘의 얼굴을 표현했다.

 여기에 중후반으로 이어지는 '미드나이트 미라지(Midnight Mirage)', '모든 하루의 끝(The End of the Day)', '인사이드 마이 러브(Inside My Love)'에서는 고민과 혼란 그리고 성숙으로 나아가는 복합적인 내면을 풀어냈다. 
 그 과정에서 결국 관통하는 핵심은 결국 서로를 의지하며 단단해지는 하나의 팀, 라이즈다. 미국 LA 올로케이션으로 촬영된 타이틀곡 '플라이 업(Fly Up)' 뮤직비디오 속 라이즈는 세상과 연결되기를 꿈꾸는 청춘의 열장과 자유를 표현, 경계를 허물고 함께 호흡하며 살아가고자 하는 메시지를 감각적으로 풀어냈다.

 40분의 러닝타임으로 구성된 '오디세이' 프리미어는 라이즈를 프로듀싱하는 SM 위저드 프로덕션이 앨범 기획부터 음악 및 영상 구성 등 약 1년의 제작 기간 동안 7곳의  외부 프로덕션과 협업을 통해 완성도 높은 결과물을 탄생시켰다. 
 그 때문인지 가장 라이즈다운 이야기와 감정이 음악과 영상 속에 자연스럽게 녹아들었다. 팬들 역시 가장 찬란하게 빛나는 라이즈의 '지금'을 마주할 수 있는 소중한 시간이 될 것으로 여겨졌다.

 꿈과 현실의 경계에서 방황하면서도 서로를 통해 단단해지는 청춘의 순간들, 그 모든 감정이 담긴 라이즈 첫 정규 '오디세이'. 이번 프리미어는 '청춘'이라는 키워드 아래 라이즈만의 성장 서사를 선명하게 각인시켰다.
 한편 라이즈 첫 정규 앨범 '오디세이'는 19일 오후 6시 각종 온라인 음원사이트를 통해 발매된다.
