동생에게 사과했다.<br><br>17일 방송된 TV조선 예능 '아빠하고 나하고'에서는 이건주가 프랑스로 입양된 동생 이건철 씨와 속 마음을 털어놨다.<br><br>이건주와 이건철은 18년 전 처음 형제의 존재를 알고 만났지만, 언어와 문화가 달라 오해가 쌓인 채 헤어졌다.<br><br>"궁금한 거 물어봐 달라"는 이건주의 말에 이건철은 "우리 엄마가 같냐. 아빠는 내가 태어난 후 군대를 갔고, 제대할 즈음 건철이가 생겼다. 부모님은 임신 사실 모른 채 이혼했고, 건철이가 핏덩이 할머니 집 마루에 맡겨졌다"고 설명했다.<br><br>"왜 그들은 부모 역할을 하지 않았나"는 질문에 이건주는 "아빠는 갓 제대했고 엄마는 스무 살이었다. 어려서 경제력 없었다. 우릴 포기한 거"라고 솔직하게 밝혔다. 이어 "할머니가 힘들게 돈을 벌었고, 중·고등학생이던 고모가 아이 둘을 키워야 하는 상황이었다"고 이야기했다.<br><br>결국 고모들은 '오빠의 잘못으로 왜 우리가 이 고생을 해야 하냐' 불만이 쌓였고, 힘에 부친 할머니는 해외 입양이 손주를 위한 최선의 선택이라고 생각했다고.<br><br></p> <figure class="figure_frm origin_fig" 보냈냐"면서 "가장 괴로웠던 질문이지만, 꼭 해야 했다. 둘 다 남거나, 둘 다 보내지거나 했어야 한다"고 말했다.<br><br>동생 말에 울컥한 이건주는 "우리 둘을 같이 못 키운 게 할머니 평생 마음의 짐이다. 난 한국에 있었고, 넌 프랑스에 있는 게 너무 미안했다"면서 "둘 다 보내긴 싫었던 것"이라고 전했다. 그러면서 "나를 원망 많이 해도 이해한다. 미안하다"며 사과했다.<br><br>이건철은 "우리 형제의 책임은 아니"라면서 "나는 좋은 양부모 만나서 즐거운 어린시절 보냈다. 형은 그조차도 없었던 것 같다"고 오히려 형을 위로했다. 마지막으로 그는 "평생 가진 질문에 대한 답을 얻었다. 그냥 이유가 궁금했고, 지금이라도 알게 돼서 기쁘다"며 미소를 지었다.<br></p> <figure
