자랑했다. 6년 전 한예종 1학년 재학 시절 '유퀴즈' 인터뷰를 했던 추영우는 "수업 중 배고파서 매점을 다녀오던 중이었는데, 잠시 인터뷰를 하자고 하더라"고 회상했다. 당시 한국사 과외를 하고 있던 추영우는 33초 출연만으로 화제가 됐다고.</p> <p 톱모델이었지만, 90년대에 빠지지 않고 나오셨다"라고 떠올렸다. 동생 차정우도 모델 겸 배우로 활동 중이며, '옥씨부인전'에서 추영우의 대역으로 출연하기도 했다고. 추영우는 동생과의 관계에 대해 "너무 좋다. 한 번도 싸운 적 없다. 3살 터울인데, 동생이 너무 착하고 절 되게 좋아해 준다. 멋있는 형이라고 생각하는 것 같다"라고 밝혔다. </p> <p 부모님 기다리면서도 연기 연습을 했다. 다이어트도 엄청 열심히 했는데, 견과류 한 팩으로 버텼다"라고 밝혔다. 24시간 86kg에서 64kg까지 감량했다고. 한예종, 세종대, 서울예대 세 곳을 모두 합격한 추영우는 "사실 재수를 했다. 첫 입시 때 세종대를 붙었는데, 합격이 취소됐다고 연락이 왔다. 등록금 납부일이 당겨진 걸 몰랐던 거다"라며 허탈한 듯
