 [스포츠서울 | 최승섭기자] 그룹 블랙핑크(BLACKPINK)의 로제가 미국 유명 싱어송라이터 알렉스 워렌(Alex Warren)의 신곡에 피처링으로 참여하며 글로벌 팬들의 이목을 집중시키고 있다.
 로제는 30일 자신의 SNS를 통해 “이렇게 아름다운 곡에 함께할 수 있어서 정말 기뻐요. 좋은 기회를 준 @alexwarren 고마워요. 이 노래 너무 좋아요”라는 글과 함께 여러 장의 사진을 게재했다.
 공개된 사진들은 신곡 ‘On My Mind’의 뮤직비디오 촬영 현장을 담고 있다.
 사진 속 로제는 성조기가 그려진 탱크톱을 입고 메이크업 수정을 받거나, 부엌 세트장에서 이어폰을 목에 건 채 포즈를 취하고 있다. 또한, 알렉스 워렌 및 스태프들과 함께 웃으며 대화하는 등 화기애애한 현장 분위기를 엿볼 수 있다. 로제는 워렌과 함께 찍은 폴라로이드 사진을 공유하며 신곡 스트리밍을 독려하기도 했다.
 지난 27일 발표된 ‘On My Mind’는 서로를 향한 숨겨진 감정을 노래하는 애절한 듀엣 곡이다. 이 곡은 어쿠스틱 기타 사운드가 특징인 포크 장르에 록의 요소를 더한 독특한 포크록 스타일로, 알렉스 워렌과 로제의 보컬이 아름다운 조화를 이루며 깊은 인상을 남긴다. 이번 협업은 K팝 아티스트가 미국 포크 장르에 본격적으로 도전했다는 점에서 의미가 크다는 평가를 받는다.
 ‘On My Mind’는 오는 7월 18일 발매될 알렉스 워렌의 새 앨범 ‘You’ll Be Alright, Kid’에 수록될 예정이다. 알렉스 워렌은 ‘Ordinary’로 빌보드 ‘핫 100’ 차트 1위에 오르며 주목받은 신예 아티스트다.
 음원과 동시에 공개된 뮤직비디오는 저스틴 비버, 켄드릭 라마 등 세계적인 가수들과 작업해 그래미상 후보에도 올랐던 콜린 틸리(Colin Tilley) 감독이 연출을 맡았다. 뮤직비디오는 두 사람이 서로에 대한 기억이 담긴 인형의 집을 배경으로 각자의 속마음을 노래하는 감성적인 연출이 돋보인다. thunder@sportsseoul.com
