 '동상이몽2' 김태술이 해임에 대해 입을 열었다. 30일 방송된 SBS '동상이몽 시즌2 - 너는 내 운명'(이하 '동상이몽2')에서는 배우 박하나-전 농구 감독 김태술 부부가 결혼 앞두고 겪은 힘든 시간을 털어놨다. 이날 김태술은 선수 은퇴 후 3년 만에 최연소 감독으로 발탁됐지만, 5개월 만에 경질된 이야기를 꺼냈다. 김태술이 이끌던 고양 소노는 프로농구 최하위권에서 벗어나지 못하며 4년 계약 기간을 채우지 못하고 결혼 전 해임됐다.

 김태술은 "갑작스럽게 감독직을 맡으면서 해나가는 과정이 힘들었던 것 같다. 할 일이 결정해야 할 일이 많았다"며 감독의 무게를 버티며 최선을 다했지만 유종의 미를 거두지 못한 아쉬움을 드러냈다. 김태술은 "프로 세계에서는 언제든 일어날 수 있는 일이라, 힘든 일이라고 받아들이진 않았다"면서 "있을 수 있는 일이 일어났다"고 털어놨다. 후배 김태술의 감독 경질에 서장훈은 "시즌 중반에 갑작스레 감독에 선임 된 거다. 반시즌밖에 안 했는데 해임됐다. 뭘 해보기도 전에 끝난 것"이라고 설명했다.

 서장훈은 "팀에 부상 선수, 외국인 선수도 없는 여러 상황에서 사실 얘가 아니라 누가 갔어도 방법이 없는 상황이다. 아쉽게 됐다. 아직 젊으니까 기회는 계속 있을 거"라고 응원했다. 한편, 김태술은 "감독을 하며 영어의 중요성을 느꼈다. 외국인 선수랑 더 원활하게 소통할 수 있겠더라"며 영어 공부에 몰두해 감탄을 자아냈다. 김은정 텐아시아 기자 eun@tenasia.co.kr
