 [TV리포트=이혜미 기자] 개그우먼 이수지가 코미디를 포기하고 배우의 길을 걸으려 했다며 관련 사연을 소개했다.
 5일 MBC '전지적 참견 시점'에선 이수지가 게스트로 출연해 이영자와 전원 라이프를 함께했다.
 이날 이영자의 '유미하우스'를 찾은 이수지는 마당에 열린 보리수 열매를 따며 구슬땀을 흘린 바.
 이에 이수지가 "나 이제 집에 가겠다"며 고통을 호소하자, 이영자는 "남편을 생각하라"며 그를 달랬다.
 그러면서도 이영자는 "시댁에도 보내주자. 더 챙겨주고 싶어서 그런다"며 이수지를 새 나무로 이끌었고, 이수지는 "우리 아버님은 보리수를 싫어하신다"라며 너스레를 떨었다.
 이영자가 "어려웠던 시절을 생각하라"고 말한 뒤에야 그는 "내가 예전에 코미디를 그만두려고 했었다. 그땐 정말로 '코미디는 내 길이 아니'라고 생각했었다"며 속내를 고백했다.
 이어 "배우 오디션을 보려고 캐스팅 디렉터에게 프로필을 돌리고 그랬다"며 "마침 남편이 'SNL 코리아'를 다시 시작한다는 소식을 듣고 무조건 오디션을 보라고 했다. 그래서 오디션을 봤다. 개인기가 있느냐고 하기에 사투리를 하고 합격을 했다"고 털어놨다.

 이날 이영자와 이수지의 단란한 모습에 '전참시' 패널들은 "이영자에게 딸이 있으면 이수지 같을 것 같다"라고 입을 모았다. 이에 이영자는 "끔찍한 모녀다. 모녀가 끔찍하다"라고 능청을 떨었다.
 뿐만 아니라 "내가 요즘 너 때문에 웃는다. 우리 '숙이' 너무 잘한다"라며 말실수가 섞인 칭찬을 늘어놨다.
 앞서도 이수지를 '숙이'라고 불렀던 이영자는 "내가 김숙을 오랜 시간 만나지 않았나. 김숙에게 갖는 편안함이 이수지에게도 있다. 격식을 차리지 않아도 되는 편한 동생 같다"며 이수지를 향한 애정을 전했다.
 그는 또 "나도 원래는 배우가 되고 싶었다. 그래서 서울예전 갈 때 연기를 전공했다. 그런데 탤런트 시험을 봐도 안 돼서 개그 쪽으로 온 거다. 나도 네 나이 때 뮤지컬을 했었다. 다만, 돈을 벌어야 해서 계속 무대를 할 수 없었다. 무대는 내게 늘 그리운 고향 같다"면서 "너는 호흡이 좋다. 다 잘한다. 지금은 수지 시대"라며 거듭 이수지를 격려했다.
