          <p contents-hash="581b32f3ebdc763f1c73b012ae2013bd67abbbf34ff431edde1c045ca1e26dbb" dmcf-pid="6xy6fmnbjy" dmcf-ptype="general">공근식은 18살에 수박 농사를 짓다가 42살에 러시아로 유학을 떠난 후 52살에 박사가 됐다고 말해 눈길으 끌었다. 공근식은 "고등학교 2학년때 자퇴했다. 재수를 할 수 있는 형편이 아니었다. 자연스럽게 부모님 수박 농사를 돕게 됐다"라고 말했다.</p>

          <p contents-hash="2982cc29ecf1f5911d50261164430215ef062c700a73951b681e5a8b32e51f58" dmcf-pid="WHdWvf3Ikh" dmcf-ptype="general">공근식은 "수박 출하하고 집에 가는데 대전역에 갔다. 왜 그런지 모르게 그냥 이끌려서 갔다. 야학교 전단지를 보고 그날 찾아갔다. 그때 마침 카이스트 물리학과 박사 과정 중이었던 선생님이 계셨다"라고 말했다. 공근식은 28살에 야학을 통해 다시 공부를 시작하게 됐다고 설명했다. </p>
