에스파 윈터, 누명 쓴 사형수 오휘웅 사연에 '분노'… "정말 억울할 듯" ('꼬꼬무')

          <p contents-hash="42cb085d602dfa1940feb0d0536d6152865d945ef89038f52082ea28ef6bfe48" dmcf-pid="7mP0SPuSCT" dmcf-ptype="general">10일 밤 SBS '꼬리에 꼬리를 무는 그날 이야기'(이하 꼬꼬무)에서는 1974년 발생한 인천 신흥시장 일가족 살인 사건이 다뤄졌다. 이날 리스너로 출연한 윈터는 배우 류수영, 아나운서 장성규와 함께 사형수 오휘웅의 억울한 사연을 들었다. </p>
          <p contents-hash="4fa5586dd6bb88726e775da4dbcad87fc7b7401770759e7afdd86a972def171d" dmcf-pid="zsQpvQ7vhv" dmcf-ptype="general">오휘웅은 내연 관계였던 주정숙(가명)의 남편과 두 자녀를 살해한 혐의로 체포됐다. 처음에는 범행을 자백했지만 검찰 조사 과정에서 "고문으로 인한 거짓 자백이었다"며 결백을 주장했다. 반면, 주정숙은 "모든 범행을 오휘웅이 했다"며 오휘웅에게 책임을 떠넘겼다. 그러나 증거는 없었다. </p>
          <p contents-hash="bfe21b1f7658e8311cbb3f77176ed7e9d541daf91683f6df28d1b845572452b6" dmcf-pid="q6XwdXsdWS" dmcf-ptype="general">오윤성 순천향대 경찰행정학과 교수는 "킬러 훈련을 받은 사람이라면 모를까 처음 사람을 살해하는 입장에서 세 사람을 그렇게 빠르게 살해하기는 힘들다"고 오휘웅의 범행에 의문을 제기했다. 당일 오휘웅을 만난 20명 넘는 사람들도 그가 "평소와 다르지 않았고, 옷이나 손에 핏자국도 없었다"고 증언했다.</p>
          <p contents-hash="d5aacabd6554c997224ba29deb37deb400437609800ab9c5cc0516b3a237ea6f" dmcf-pid="BPZrJZOJhl" dmcf-ptype="general">오휘웅의 사연을 세상에 알린 조갑제 기자는 "1971년부터 기자 생활을 했는데 그때 고문은 다반사였다"며 "오휘웅을 수사했던 형사 한 분은 그런 사건에서 손을 안 대고 할 수 있냐고 하나의 관례인 것처럼 이야기했다"고 전했다. 이를 들은 윈터는 "옛날에는 진짜 억울한 분들이 너무 많겠는데요"라며 놀란 반응을 보였다.</p>

          <p contents-hash="2542aa80033854f783b07027d5b7a2bb63662b5e4b349b472d284dab4f0ffbad" dmcf-pid="9MtOLthLhI" dmcf-ptype="general">사건은 주정숙이 극단적 선택을 하면서 미궁에 빠졌다. 오휘웅에게는 제대로 된 증거 하나 없이 사형이 선고됐다. 2심 항소와 대법원 상고가 모두 기각되면서 사건 발생 1년 2개월 만에 사형이 확정됐다. 장성규는 "말도 안 되네"라고 했고, 류수영은 "무섭네"라고 말했다. 윈터도 "나도 저렇게 심각하게 고문을 받으면 죽였다고 할 것 같아"라며 안타까움을 드러냈다. </p>
          <p contents-hash="b93559cdeb3b561180e9c30481fb58432cb99ff546d446eeecaec4474b5d913f" dmcf-pid="2RFIoFlohO" dmcf-ptype="general">오휘웅은 구속된 뒤에도 3년 넘게 재심을 청구했다. 제작진이 입수한 육성 녹음본에서 그는 "나와 같은 희생자들은 나와서는 안 된다"며 억울함을 호소했다. 사형을 앞둔 그의 마지막 유언은 "저는 살인하지 않았습니다"였다. 윈터는 "잘못이 없는 사람에게 사형 선고를 내리는 건 죄"라며 답답함을 드러냈다.</p>
