           하지만 진짜 감정은 아이들 앞에서 흐르기 시작했다. 첫날, 다리 불편한 아이를 치료할 수 있게 도왔고 둘째날, 일곱살 아이가 쌍둥이 동생을 돌보는 현장을 만났다. 백지영은 그곳에서 울지 않으려 애썼고, 아이의 뇌전증이 치료 가능하단 말에 결국 눈물을 삼켰다.
