 [스포츠조선닷컴 정안지 기자] 배우 정일우가 27세에 뇌동맥류 판정을 받고 힘들었던 시간을 떠올렸다. 
 7일 방송된 KBS2 '옥탑방의 문제아들'에는 주말드라마 '화려한 날들'의 배우 이태란과 정일우가 출연했다.
 이날 정일우는 '산티아고 순례길' 질문에 "산티아고 순례길을 세 번 걸었다"고 밝혔다.
 그는 '산티아고를 가야겠다고 생각 했을 때 몸이 아팠냐. 마음이 아팠냐'는 질문에 "둘 다 아팠다"고 했다. 
 정일우는 "교통사고는 '거침없이 하이킥' 오디션 보기 전에 20살 때 났다"며 "뇌동맥류라는 질병은 어떤 이유로 생기는 지 잘 모른다. 교통사고 났을 때 뇌진탕, 뇌출혈이 있었다. 아마 그 영향이 있지 않았을까라고 의사 선생님이 말씀하셨다"고 했다.
 27세에 뇌동맥류 판정을 받았다는 정일우는 "'삶을 어떻게 살아야 되나'라면서 우울감에 한 달 동안 집 밖을 안나갔다"며 "그러다가 '정말 가보고 싶었던 산티아고 순례길 가 봐야겠다'는 생각에 6개월 준비 후 다녀왔다"고 했다.

 그는 세 번이나 간 이유에 대해 "가장 힘들 때 걸었다. 걷고 '인생의 행복이 이런 거구나'를 느꼈다. 이걸 혼자 느끼기 너무 아쉬워서 친구들을 데리고 두 번 더 갔었다"고 밝혔다.
 정일우는 "배우라는 직업은 누군가에게 제안도 들어오고, 기다려야 하지 않나. 그렇게 때문에 항상 조바심, 불안감이 있었다"며 "순례길 완주 후 현실을 즐기고 현실에 감사하면서 살아야겠다는 생각이 들었다. 마인드가 굉장히 많이 바뀌었다"고 밝혔다. 
 이어 "감사함 유지 기간이 6개월, 1년은 간다"며 "일요일마다 순례자를 위한 미사가 열린다. 천주교 신자다. 대향로 앞에서 기도를 하는데 펑펑 울었다. 그동안 쌓였던 게 터진 것 같다. 펑펑 울고 나니까 감정이 정리 되더라"고 밝혔다. 
 정일우는 "내 삶을 뒤돌아볼 여유 없이 달려가다가 잠시 멈추고 나를 돌아보는 시간이 필요하지 않나"고 덧붙여 눈길을 끌었다.
