 [TV리포트=한수지 기자] 배우 정일모가 아픈 가정사를 고백했다. 
 7일 방송된 MBN '특종세상'에서는 배우 정일모가 사찰을 찾아 속죄의 108배를 하는 모습이 전파를 탔다.
 이날 매일 아침 운동으로 하루를 시작한다는 정일모는 "매일 아침 산에서 고행하듯 운동하고 있다. 제 나이 지금 77세니까 한 50년? (동안 운동을 하고 있다)"라고 말했다.
 이어 "계속 이렇게 몸을 혹사시키면서 운동하지 않으면 근육 다 빠지고 이러면 작은 병부터 시작해서 병이 많이 온다"라며 꾸준히 운동을 하는 이유를 설명했다.
 아침 운동이 끝난 후 정일모는 인근의 한 사찰을 찾아 절을 올리기 시작했다. 정일모는 절을 하며 "지은 죄가 많다. 정말 속죄하고 싶다. 부처님 잘못된 제 삶을 부처님께서 보살펴 주시옵소서"라고 속죄하며 기도 드렸다.
 그는 속죄하는 마음으로 108배를 하고 있었다. 정일모는 "아들 때문에 6년 간 기도를 드리고 있다. 오래 전 헤어진 아들이 있는데 참 마음이 아픈 아들이다. 자식에 대한 미안함과 그리움, 이런 것들이 많이 쌓여 있다"라고 고백했다. 
 그날 오후 정일모는 과거 조직 생활을 함께한 후배들을 만났다. 그는 "가장 아끼고 좋아하는 동생들"이라며 애정을 드러냈다. 후배는 "우리 정일모 형님은 1971년도 복싱 신인왕으로 라이트급에서 엄청난 주목을 받았다. 어느 날 보니까 깡패 조직 두목이 돼 있었다. 우리 형님이 지나가면 뭉쳐있다가도 자리를 비켜준다"라고 말했다. 
 정일모는 배우가 되기 전 조직 폭력배의 두목이었다는 것이 알려지며 화제를 모은 바 있다. 정일모는 "시대 상황이 춥고 배고플 때 (조직에서) 스카우트를 받았다"라고 전했다.

 그러면서 "'범죄와의 전쟁' 당시에 굳은 마음의 결심을 했다. 그때 '신 팔도 사나이'라는 영화에 스카우트가 됐다. 주먹 세계에 대해 조언을 많이 했다"라고 밝혔다. 
 그는 자식들에게 떳떳하기 위해 조직 생활을 접고 배우로 전향했지만, 바쁜 활동으로 인해 가족은 늘 뒷전이었다. 
 정일모의 가정사도 공개됐다. 그는 세번의 이혼 끝에 현재 네 번째 아내와 결혼을 한 상태였다. 정일모는 "결혼 이야기하면 가슴 아픈 이야기가 많다. 첫 번째 아내와의 딸이 있고, 두 번째 만난 아내한테는 아들이 있다"라고 고백했다. 
 이혼 사유에 대해서도 전했다. 전 부인들은 정일모가 평범한 직장을 가진 가장이 되길 바랐고, 그걸로 갈등을 빚으며 결국 이혼하게 됐다고. 
 12년 전 인연을 맺은 네 번째 아내와는 30살 정도의 나이 차이가 난다고 고백했다. 정일모는 "알고 지낸지는 한 12년 되고, 같이 산지는 4년이 됐다"라고 말했다. 그는 "때로는 같이 다니면 딸이냐고 묻는다. 그럴 때 아내가 나서 남편이라고 한다. 가슴이 뭉클하다. 고마운 마음, 사랑하는 마음으로 대하고 있다. 마지막 사랑이라고 생각하고 있다"라며 와이프에 대한 애틋한 마음을 드러냈다. 
 그는 두번째 와이프 사이에서 낳은 아들과 20년 전 헤어진 후 다시 만나지 못하고 있었다. 이혼 당시 사춘기였던 아들은 아버지에 대한 원망에 인연을 끊었다고 했다. 정일모는 "왜 엄마를 버렸냐고 생각하고 있는 것 같다"라며 씁쓸해 했다.
