 코미디언 이성미가 서러웠던 학창 시절을 고백했다. 11일 유튜브 채널 '송승환의 원더풀라이프'에서는 희극인 이성미가 엄마만 5명이었던 유년기를 털어놨다. 이날 이성미는 초6 때 암 투병으로 돌아가신 어머니에 대해 "엄마가 죽어서 너무 슬픈 감정을 몰랐다. 어려서 '한 사람이 없어졌네' 생각하고 그냥 멍하고 띵한 상태였다"고 회상했다. "사업이 망한 아버지는 급히 새장가를 드셨다"고 밝힌 이성미는 "세 번째 엄마가 있고, 두 분이 더 있었다"며 엄마만 5명이던 유년 시절을 고백했다.

 이성미는 "엄마를 다섯 분 모셨다"면서 "아버지가 부잣집 아줌마랑 재혼 후 부산으로 갔는데, 형제가 넷이었다. 이후 네 번째 엄마네도 애가 넷이었다. 아빠가 애들 많은 집으로 찾아다니더라"고 말했다. 처음에는 형제, 자매가 생겨서 좋았지만, 곧 쉽지 않은 상황이라는 걸 깨달은 이성미는 "그 친구들은 날 받아들일 준비가 되지 않았고, 나도 형제자매에 대한 개념이 없었다. 거슬거슬했던 것"이라고 표현했다. 한동안 김밥을 피했던 비극적 일화도 이야기했다. 과거 어머니 부재로 소풍 갈 때 김밥 싸줄 사람이 없었던 이성미는 "친구 엄마가 김밥 싸준다고 해서 기쁜 마음으로 갔다. 재취하신 분인데, 그 집 아빠가 '미친X아 남의 자식 김밥 싸줄 때냐'면서 머리끄덩이를 잡고 끌고 나가는데 충격을 받았다"고 털어놨다.

 한없이 서러운 감정을 느낀 이성미는 "내가 저 엄마를 저렇게 만들었다는 생각도 들고 엉망진창이었다. 이후 김밥을 보면 그 엄마가 생각나서 목이 뻐근해지더라"고 말했다. "초중고 졸업식 다 못 가서 사진이 한 장도 없다"는 이성미는 "중학교 때는 연탄가스 마셔서 못 갔고, 고등학교 때는 자취하다가 늦잠 잤다. 대학교 때는 방송하느라 늦었다"고 전했다. 이성미는 "아버지는 버팀목이지만, 엄마는 보호막이자 곁이다. 그게 없어진 후로 내가 약간 미친X 같았다. 평상시에는 차갑다가, 오락 시간만 되면 안에서 꿈틀대더라. 내가 봐도 비정상적인 아이였다"고 회상했다. 그러면서 "자취하며 혼자 있는 게 좋아서 학교를 안 나갔는데, 제적당하기 하루 전에 선생님이 나오라고 했다. 주머니에 손 넣고 다니나가 계단에서 굴렀는데, '자살 위험이 있는 아이'라고 아버지께 경고했다더라"며 불안했던 학창시절을 토로해 안타까움을 자아냈다. 김은정 텐아시아 기자 eun@tenasia.co.kr
