김종국, 결혼 준비설 진짜였다···62억 자가 매입+정자 검사까지[종합]

 가수 김종국이 결혼을 공식 발표하며 그간 이어져온 ‘결혼설’에 종지부를 찍었다. 18일 오전 김종국은 자신의 공식 팬카페 ‘파피투스’를 통해 결혼 소식을 알렸다. 김종국은 “언젠가는 이런 글을 쓰게 될 줄 알았지만 막상 쓰려니 많이 떨린다. 저 장가간다”라며 직접 본인의 결혼 소식을 알렸다. 김종국은 “사실 조금씩 티를 낸다고 내긴 했는데 그래도 분명 갑작스럽게 느끼시는 분들이 많이 계실 것 같다”며 “많이 늦었지만 이렇게 새로운 출발을 하게 돼 다행이라 생각한다. 더 노력하고 열심히 살겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

 갑작스러운 김종국의 결혼 발표와 함께 누리꾼들 사이에서는 그의 과거 발언과 행적이 다시금 조명 받고 있다. 앞서 올해 초 김종국은 서울 논현동에 약 62억 원 규모의 고급 빌라를 매입한 사실이 알려진 바 있다. 이로 인해 김종국은 출연 중인 SBS 예능 ‘미운 우리 새끼’와 KBS 2TV 예능 ‘옥탑방의 문제아들’ 등에서 ‘신혼집을 마련한 것이 아니냐’는 의혹을 받기도 했다. 김종국은 “사람이 미리 준비를 해야 결혼을 한다”, “집이 없으면 결혼을 어떻게 하냐. 결혼하면 자연스럽게 신혼집이 되는 것” 등 결혼과 관련된 질문에 두루뭉술하게 답변을 해 팬들의 궁금증을 키웠다.

 또한 김종국은 지난 7일 자신의 유튜브 채널 ‘짐종국’을 통해 “나이가 50에 가까워져 이제는 너무 늦으면 안 된다”며 정자 검사를 받는 과정을 공개, 2세 준비 의지를 드러내기도 했다. “자연임신이 나중에 아내에게 덜 힘들 것”이라고 정자 검사의 이유를 밝힌 김종국은 검사 결과 정자 수 2억 1,600만 개로 함께 검사한 사람들 중 1위를 기록해 놀라움을 더하기도 했다.

 해당 소식이 전해지며 누리꾼들은 ‘다 그냥 한 말인 줄 알았는데 진짜일 줄은 몰랐다’, ‘이미 예능에서 다 티났다’ 등의 반응을 보이며 김종국의 결혼에 축하 메시지를 보내고 있다. 한편 김종국은 서울 모처에서 가족과 가까운 지인들만 초청해 비공개 결혼식을 진행할 예정이다. 강신우 기자 ssinu423@kyunghyang.com
