          <p contents-hash="26fe25516f58922d8c0630f2e05a3efc996241243b13ecc1658feb6e30201ca7" dmcf-pid="6eco8QphSv" dmcf-ptype="general">정성일의 연기 인생은 21살, 대학을 중퇴하고 무작정 서울 대학로로 향하면서 시작됐다. 정성일은 오직 연기를 향한 열정 하나로 긴 무명 생활을 견뎌냈다. 그는 "연극을 오래 했다. 21살부터 5년 정도"라며 수년간 연극 무대를 지키며 온갖 아르바이트로 생계를 유지했다고 밝혔다.</p>

          <p contents-hash="ceadeca9491e3f89d4bacb990b0c5c69a2f4a44ad263d9a0b9ffe0cd1cabbc96" dmcf-pid="QJEaPMuSWl" dmcf-ptype="general">정성일은 주로 운전 관련 일을 많이 했고, 대리운전과 발레파킹은 물론 아침에 카페를 열고 그 가게에서 주차 관리를 하고 저녁에는 와인바에서 근무하는 등 웬만한 아르바이트는 다 해봤다고 털어놨다. 30대 초반에 '나만 좋아서 해도 될까, 먹고 살 수 있을까'라는 고민에 빠지기도 했지만 정성일은 "연기 아니면 다른 걸 할 수 없었을 것"이라며 연기만이 자신의 길임을 깨달았다.</p>

'하도영' 역으로 큰 사랑을 받으며 대세 배우로 떠올랐지만, 정산을 받아도 큰 돈은 아니었기에 생계를 위해 더 열심히 움직여야 햇다. 정성일은 '더 글로리' 공개 후에도 "쿠팡 배달 아르바이트를 했다"고 말해 놀라움을 자아냈다.</p>
