 '원더풀라이프' 정원관이 17살 연하 아내와의 러브스토리를 밝혔다. 19일 유튜브 채널 '송승환의 원더풀라이프'에서는 소방차 정원관이 '결혼 후 깨달은 인생의 의미'에 대해 이야기했다. 이날 정원관은 17살 연하 비연예인 아내와 결혼한 이야기를 전했다. 지난 2013년 결혼한 그는 "결혼 허락이 쉽지 않았겠다"는 말에 "아내가 무남독녀라 설득하느라 고민했을 거다. 장인장모한테 길게 가스라이팅을 했다"고 밝혀 웃음을 자아냈다.

 정원관은 아내와의 첫 만남에 대해 "현재 가족들이 호주 시드니로 이민 가서 살고 있다. 외로운 명절에 친한 여동생이 '밥 같이 먹자'고 해서 나갔더니, 동생 후배가 같이 나왔더라. 그 사람이 아내"라고 회상했다. 처음 만날 날, 아내를 더 오랜 시간 보기 위해 2차로 간 막걸리바에서 메뉴에 있는 막걸리 다 마셨다고. 정원관은 "헤어질 때 내 핸드폰을 집사람 가방에 넣었다. 이런 수법이 이제는 안 통하겠지만, 교수 후배한테 '내가 전화를 놓고 왔는데 어떻게 연락하느냐'고 물어서 다시 만났다"고 전했다. 첫눈에 반했다는 정원관은 "마음에 엄청 있었는데, 아내가 소방차가 뭔지 모르더라"면서 "2012년 콘서트에 왔는데, 썸이 약간 생기려고 할 때라 노래방에서 연습하고 왔더라"며 미소를 지었다.

 슬하에 11살, 6살 딸을 둔 정원관은 "애들 보고 있으면 이기적이지만 결혼 너무 잘했다는 생각이 든다. 총각으로 살다가 끝까지 살려고 했는데 남들이 한 번 사는 인생 두 번 사는 것 같다"며 행복함을 자랑했다. 그러면서 "결혼 후 생활, 생각이 아내, 아이들을 위해 완전히 전환이 됐다. 예전에 같이 술 마시던 윤종신이 '라디오스타'에서 날 보더니 '미쳤나' 하고 쳐다보더라"고 전했다. 정원관은 늦게 결혼한 박수홍, 윤정수에게 건강 관리를 강조했다고 밝히며 "애한테 미안해. 젊을 때 낳았으면 던져주고 할 텐데, 노력은 하지만 애들 텐션에 맞추기 힘들다. 애가 커가는 모습을 오래 보고 싶으니까 건강 관리를 해야 한다"고 말했다. 김은정 텐아시아 기자 eun@tenasia.co.kr
