음료, 커피는 물론 때로는 위스키도 얼음에 타줘야 폭염 속 갈증과 짜증이 가라앉는다. 얼리고, 트레이를 씻고, 물을 채워 다시 얼리는 과정도 반복할수록 지겨워졌다.</p> <p contents-hash="04b58c1b9d1ef673bc7d20e6e8006dd0bba252f6dd79762df43ef33cfa647baf" dmcf-pid="ufExbeMVlT" dmcf-ptype="general">얼음 갈증 끝에 교원 웰스의 ‘아이스원 미네랄 얼음정수기’를 집에 들여 지난 3주간 사용해봤다.</p> <p contents-hash="db864b019eaca08e23a4e79941b9d02d5cb91d781d804db2c18b4861e4c6c397" dmcf-pid="74DMKdRfSv" dmcf-ptype="general">아이스원을 선택한 가장 큰 이유는 아이스룸 크기다. 2인 가구지만 얼음 소비량은 적지 않았다. 냉동실 속 얼음을 귀하게 아껴 쓰는 생활에서 벗어나려면 저장 용량이 넉넉해야 했다. 그렇다고 몸집이 큰 제품은 곤란했다. 주방 조리대 공간이 넉넉하지 않아서다.</p> <div 정수기를 오래 사용해도 미네랄 용출량이 일정하게 유지되는지 검증하는 과정을 살펴봤다. 아울러 1세대 아이스원의 내부를 직접 보며 얇은 냉각 장치로 아이스룸 공간을 넓힌 구조도 확인했다. </div> <figure class="figure_frm origin_fig" 달한다. 비결은 웰스의 이중관 냉각 기술이다. 냉각 장치를 얇게 만들어 제품 측면에 배치하면서 본체 크기를 줄이고 얼음 저장 공간을 넓혔다. 아이스룸 안쪽을 한눈에 확인할 수 있고 상단 커버를 분리해 세척할 수 있다는 점도 위생 관리에 유리하다.</p> <p 얼음은 개당 12g, 작은 얼음은 7g이다. 3주 동안에는 주로 큰 얼음을 사용했다. 자로 재보니 긴 변이 약 3㎝, 짧은 변은 2㎝ 안팎이었다. 아이스커피뿐 아니라 얼음물이나 위스키에 넣기에도 존재감이 충분했다.</p> <div 사용했을 때다. 아침에 아이스커피 2잔, 운동하면서 얼음물 2잔, 집에 놀러 온 친구와 탄산음료 3잔을 마셨다. 저녁에는 위스키 3잔까지 얼음과 함께 즐겼다.</p> <div contents-hash="26e4d8a13112425d9703bf5b4f75492dd1af035d99e3b102fa5baf544407249f" dmcf-pid="QqgVp8fzWc" dmcf-ptype="general"> 열 번째 컵에 얼음을 받은 직후 처음으로 ‘얼음 부족’ 표시가 떴다. 제품 설명을 다시 확인해보니 아이스룸이 가득 찬 상태에서 한 잔당 약 100g을 기준으로 최대 10잔을 제공한다는 안내였다. 실사용에서도 안내 수치가 그대로 확인된 셈이다. 평일에 두 사람이 사용하는 수준에서는 아이스룸을 바닥까지 비우기 어려울 필요한 양을 설정할 수 있으며 냉수와 정수는 최대 2L, 온수는 최대 1L까지 연속 출수가 가능하다. 원하는 양을 선택한 뒤 다른 일을 하고 돌아와도 컵에 물이 정량 담겨있어 편리했다.</p> <div contents-hash="b33161bfe0cc536562d508ffa7d64f844044078132028ce76acadcdc164cc9cb" dmcf-pid="Y7L93f2ula" dmcf-ptype="general"> 설정 버튼을 3초 동안 누르면 음량과 맞춤 출수량, 얼음 크기, 얼음 잠금, 제빙 중지 기능 등을 조절할 수 있다. 원하는 시간대에 제빙을 멈추도록 설정할 수 있어 취침 중 소음에 민감한 사용자에게 유용해 보였다. 다만 실제 사용 중 제빙음이 생활을 방해할 만큼 크다고 느끼지는 주변이 다소 지저분해 지는 경우가 잦다. 아이스원은 온수를 받을 때 물 튐이 현저히 적었다. 온수를 내릴 때 생기는 기포를 제거해 물줄기를 고르게 만드는 웰스의 기포분리기술 덕분이다. 물줄기가 중간에 끊기거나 가늘어지는 현상도 두드러지지 않았다.</p> <div 낮에는 문제가 없었지만 불을 켜지 않은 채 잠결에 물을 받으러 나왔다가 버튼을 찾는 과정에서 출수량 설정을 한 단계 늘리는 바람에 컵이 넘친 적도 있다. 출수·출빙 버튼에도 은은한 조명을 적용했다면 어두운 환경에서의 조작 실수를 줄일 수 있을 것으로 보인다.</p> <p contents-hash="f91a916c0cda2ef32025d00dfd7763104c1bcd3a658085a538cb051aad83a973" dmcf-pid="19A6zxPKSJ" dmcf-ptype="general">3주간 사용하며 가장 크게 달라진 점은 더 이상 냉동실 얼음을 세어가며 마시지 않는다는 것이었다. 1㎏ 아이스룸은 2인 가구가 일상적으로
